Distract, apply, & reward!
Distractions are key! Using treats (peanut butter works great!), applying right before mealtime, or following with a belly rub are positive, effective ways to allow time for the product to work it's magic!
Before applying any balm, clean up any excess dirt or debris evident around the area.
Paw Application
Stick: Twist a small amount of PawTection up from the stick and gently glide a generous amount of our balm directly over your dog's paw pads.
Paws will be slick after application so allow the area to dry with your pup's favorite distraction.
Skin Soother Application
Stick: Twist a small amount of Skin Soother up from the stick and gently rub a generous amount onto the area.
Repeat one to three times daily. Consistent & frequent application is crucial. Decrease application as you see fit.
WHAT IF MY DOG LICKS IT OFF?:
Natural Dog Company products are 100% natural, safe and edible. Primary ingredients include nut oils and butters, which can be appealing to dogs, so they may attempt to lick it off - which is perfectly normal! Our products will still work even if most of it is licked off. Though, for best results, we advise using distractions, such as treats or mealtime, to allow more time for the product to work it's magic!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I APPLY PAW SOOTHER?
The more often you are able to apply Paw Soother to your dog's paws, the better. We recommend applying at least 2-3 times per day - especially before bedtime. Once your dog's paws are healthy, you can reduce the frequency of applications and still maintain soft, smooth, healthy paws.
WHAT USES IS PAWTECTION RECOMMENDED FOR?
- HOT surfaces such as: pavement, sidewalks, gravel, rocks, sand, stone, concrete, decks, etc.
- Harsh elements such as: salt, ice, rough terrain, extreme temperatures, etc.
- Helps to reduces effects of contact with allergens, like grass, pollen, or mold.
PawTection creates a barrier while also locking in moisture and helping prevent drying and cracking.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I APPLY PAWTECTION?
For best results, use PawTection before going outside. Reapply periodically when exposed to harsh conditions such as ice and snow and especially really hot pavement. Dogs feel pain on their paws!

Rome has been licking his paws for years. We've changed his diet. Seeked help from the vet with no resolution. He was a bit anxious of me applying the Paw soother. The next day he saw me with the tube and instead of running away he layed next to me for application. I applied the soother let that dry then the paw protector. His paws were so soft, not dry or raw like before. He is also allergic to the wind. I know, weird but so true. I applied the skin to his ears and haven't seen him shake his head.
All the products smell great. Highly recommend.
My pitty/mix has extremely sensitive skin. She was on and off anti-biotics for months before I found NDC. I put the skin soother on her belly and she flopped over in immediate relief.
